The first annual Halloween dog parade in South Park sounds like a great addition to the fun. This family friendly pet parade on October 31st will meet at 4:45 pm on the grassy area along 28th Street between Ash and A. Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Contest in La Mesa Village
If you’re closer to East County, then this family friendly Halloween event in La Mesa is perfect. The La Mesa Village Association is hosting the 7th annual Halloween in La Mesa Trick-or-Treating event on October 31st from 4 – 6 pm. There’s a lot happening at this event from a Halloween-themed organ concert at the La Mesa First United Methodist Church to balloon artists and stilt walkers. Plus, the La Mesa Village Farmers Market will also be happening during the fun. And don’t forget the Howl-o-ween pet costume contest. There will be prizes for the spookiest, cutest, and Pet/Pet parent combo. Be sure to dress to impress!
