February 2026 San Diego Pet Adoption Events
Fido Fest
2/28 from 11 AM – 3 PM

Fido fest is an outdoor pet adoption event in Santee. It will have agility courses, contests, live entertainment and vendors. There will be 25 local San Diego rescue groups attending including two of my personal favorites A Way Home for Dogs and Frosted Faces. This is a fun and free family-friendly adoption event in San Diego.

Rescue a Life Adoption Event by Labs & More

Adoptable dogs from Labs & More will be at this pet adoption event in Kearny Mesa hoping someone will bring them home.
The Rescue House Cat & Kitten Adoption Event

This San Diego cat adoption event will have adoptable cats from The Rescue House. This is a great opportunity to find the purrfect best friend.
April 2026 San Diego Pet Adoption Events
Bark-n-Bowl in El Cajon

Details are still being put together for this event, but from the looks of last year’s event, it’s going to be fun. This event will help raise funds for all the great rescue work Lionel’s Legacy does throughout the year.
San Diego Super Adoption in North Park

There will be over 10 local San Diego rescue groups and shelters at this pet adoption event in North Park. You can meet both dogs and cats available for adoption in San Diego.
Fall Brewing Rescue a Life Adoption Event

Adoptable dogs from Labs & More will be at this event hoping to find their furever home. The kind folks at Fall Brewing are hosting this event.
